Okay hater, you have made it official, this thread was a complete waste of time and you are not worth anything as a poster when referring JCC.
You need to make a clearer definition of your criteria for ATG. If you consider Hatton an ATG, then I would consider Freitas, and a bunch of other guys with a belt right up there with him
Chavez?! :admin I can't agree with you on that one mate. For me, someone who is so skilled at infighting is every bit as skilled as someone who is a quick, slick boxer and showman. Chavez v Rosario is PURE skill IMO. Standing in the pocket with a known puncher, and consistently hitting without being cleanly hit. He may not have been the most versatile boxer ever, but to say 'limited' implies a lack of ability (which is true of Hatton), and although JCC did for the most part fight in the one style, if it was so limited then more people than only the best boxer of that generation (Whitaker) would have beaten him before he was significantly past-prime.
Ah well, JCC is a great boxer but I think he's somewhat overrated. His record is a fine example of how to do a proper padding job.
before the fight he was some kind of monster that would break Pac in half and now hes limited. you´re pathetic.
I suppose as I have tried to reject Chavez as an answer I should offer an alternative: George Foreman? His overall effectiveness decreased as his boxing ability increased, but in both eras he was profoundly limited IMO.
How do you figure? Look at Archie Moore, Henry Armstrong, and Rocky Marciano, and tell me what they all have in common.
