right now there is alot of talk of boxers being hyped to an extent that when they step into the ring with an elite fighter they get dominated.on this forum many are pointing to hatton(don't know why) as being exposed overrated and not worth his hype. but in this generation of the media machine and PRs who is the most overrated fighter out there?
Zab Judah...manages to lose every major fight he is in...yet is still considered dangerous...to who???
So far I have to agree, Cintron. His mental game is no where near of the current champs, but I hope he'll prove us wrong in near future, Im still big fan and admire his power. Zab is close second, once again, he looks great against lesser fighters, but mentaly hes most likely a B or C class fighter. I never rated A.Abraham high, his suspicious win over Miranda doesnt prove much. Good defence but wide shots he throws makes him look amateurish sometimes. Kelly on the other hand, showed that he can step his game up when facing better fighters, I liked the way he boxed Taylor and he doesnt seem to colapse under pressure, I think he can be made into realy great fighter if managed and trained carefully.
Kelly Pavlik - Will get Knocked out in Taylor 2 Floyd Mayweather Jr - The Best today, not ever. Hatton - Cotto, Mosley, and Margarito all knock him out at Welter
I've seen posters compare Calzaghe to Ray Robinson.....so he is the most overrated. He is great and should be held in very high regard, but still overrated. Wladamir is the most underrated.
dont fink many people really rate abraham to start this. ok can i ask, why is bhop still a p4p top 5 when he lost 2 taylor twice and gave a totally average performace against winky?i think this is enough to suggest that right now he is very overrated!
Calzaghe - I said this on another thread, but I think it holds true here...Just because he's the best of the worst (best of 168lb. division), doesn't make him the best of the best (or near it) P4P. But, Calzaghe is also one of the most underrated by Americans, but his accomplishments are TERRIBLY overrated by Europeans.
yea, thats not really an argument in all honesty, pavlik tore through taylor in the first, what possibly suggests he wont do the same now. pbfs a great fighter but i dont fink anyone rates him like you say they do! hatton isn't a welterweight and we found that out on saturday night so that aint an argument,he's the best lww around and beat some top fighters along the way.
2 Years ago i would of told you lacy and you would of laughed, and look what happened. Kessler would KO Pavlik, Taylor, Wright, Hopkins, Jones Jnr, Lacy!
