Man it's really hard to pick just one guy in the whole history of boxing, and say he's the most overrated, sorry, there are several...

Arturo Gatti is first that comes to my mind, the guy had the worst defense, blocked most punches with his grill, and everytime he stepped up to face elite competitors he was brutally beaten to a pulp, De la hoya, Mayweather, this guy has no business in the BHOF..

I don't think most people even acknowledge the BHOF, it's become so weak and watered down.....

The major league baseball HOF, is the way a real HOF should be:deal

I've always found that low guard to be a necessity of the times. Long fights in the heat. It isn't something I find as a flaw. No man Could go 25 rounds with a tight high guard, and a high work rate with combinations. Jack IMO is one of the best at fighting inside a clinch. The way he positions his and his opponents hands is genius. He maintained a position that he could defend and attack from with little effort. A very balance fighter as far as style is concerned. I was unaware that the Ketchel knockdown is considered fake by so many. I will have to watch that.

I think the saying of ancient wisdom is "Do not cast your pearls before swine". I'll leave it at that.

And you are a math whiz. Read the question again, Archimedes- "NAME ONE FACET OF BOXING SKILLS THAT HAS IMPROVED IN THE LAST 50 YEARS"

Johnson doesn't fall into the time frame set forth by McVey. Best to get things straight before you post. But that doesn't seem to stop you.

this is the exact same question i constantly pose to these 'boxing has evolved' idiots.

if boxing has evolved, why is Amir Khans chin so ****?

why cant Malignaggi break an egg?

but but but fighters are bigger and stronger than those black and white dudes:patsch

every generation/era of boxing always has those special fighters who could go back in time and hold their own, but these guys are far and few between.
