i never bought into the whole fab four idea. Duran is really a lightweight, and nothing more. You dont see Benny Leonard fighting welterweights. He just wasnt the same man of steel. and that extra weight he carried at 147, 154, 160 really slowed him down. Hearns was better built for those divisions

I won't argue about that but he was the only one who beat Leonard. He was closer to his prime in 1980.

Both Ruiz and Byrd beat Holyfield far easier than Lewis did, Ruiz put Holyfield on the floor. something Lewis never came near to doing. Holyfield was clearly robbed of his title in his rematch with Lewis...

Should we rank Byrd and Ruiz higher than Lewis then?

Let's start with the facts, they fought twice, not once. The first fight, if scored fairly should have been 9-3 for Lewis. It wasn't a particular close fight. The second fight, which I've scored round by round probably 5-6 times is either 8-4 or if you're being very generous to Holyfield 7-5.

That makes the combined score about 16-8 for Lewis, which isn't all that close.

As for the second fight I defy you to tell me which rounds that Holyfield won that would give him the score you claim he should have had. I know this is completely off topic and perhaps another the topic of another thread but..

And the Bruno fight, you can't really say a fighter was winning before he lost, cause that really doesn't matter. Does anyone know what the score was in the first Rahman fight before Lewis got starched? Probably not, because it doesn't matter what it was.

And lastly, the Mercer fight, it's basically a Rorschach test as it says more about the poster than the fighter.

If you like Lewis you're going to say he gutted out a win against an opponent with a granite chin, and if you don't like him, you're going to say he struggled against a fighter than many including over the hill Holmes beat. It's obvious where you stand.

no we shouldn't, but as No1 contenders for Lewis title, they should have been given title fights instead of Frans Botha & Michael Grant. Both Ruiz & Byrd went on to prove themselves to be very worthy opponents.

You ask me to "tell you which rounds Holyfield won" in their second fight?... well all i can say is, "You obviously ain't watched that fight" Holyfield clearly won 8 maybe 9 of the 12rds. of 48 ringside reporters covering the fight, 46 scored the fight as a clear victory for Evander Holyfield.. Your combined score is laughable, it should be reading 15-9 Holyfield or at worst 14-10

No I watched it numerous times, and have been on this site and a site prior to this since the actual fight took place. I've scored it over 1/2 times and I've participated in this very debate about 5-6 times as well.

So simple request, answer the question, which 8-9 rounds in the second fight did Holyfield win cause this was a pretty easy fight to score.
