People were thinking Mayorga was gonna KO Oscar after his whole coke/drag fiasco.

The thing about Oscar is he's the measuring stick for which modern boxers should be judged by once their careers are over and are evaluated IMO, not in the sense of resume ie wins but in terms of talent and how they tested that talent. In a similar sense you'll have fighters that will be on the other end of the spectrum like your Ottke's and Calzaghe's.

Bottom line is that Oscar in his quest for greatness went all the way up to MW to attempt to become the first undisputed MW champion since Marvin Hagler and his opponent was a bigger stronger ATG who was unbeaten in over a decade and though he ultimately fell short his willingness to fight literally everyone (of note) while himself being an elite fighter is both praise and respect worthy.

 

On the list given Id say Juan Marquez.

Of actual fighters, one of the few that are respected in this forums is Sergio Martínez.Márquez have haters, mainly Pacquiao fanatics.Froch...well, I respect hima lot but I dont like his ugly style.
