There will only ever be 1 Gatti! But I think Porter...due to his heart and ability...he could reach or surpass Gatti in popularity

And somehow managed to end up on the floor with his head under the counter-table, which is something independent investigators tried to replicate and failed miserably. If you want to kill a man, hire a woman.

Some levels down but Jamie Conlan could end up in such a mould

Conlan vs Nelson last year was good. Has he done anything else I should know about?

Salido. He's a true warrior. He is considerably better than Gatti, though.
He's been in a number of FOTY's. There's not a single boring fight of his.
    He is underrated and undersold.

That's a hell of a claim. Salido's better than Gatti? Let's investigate that thought.

    Great fights Gatti:
    Ward I
    Ward III
    Robinson I
    Robinson II
    Ruelas
    Rodriguez
    Ruelas
    Manfredy
    Gamache

Plus, I saw an early fight of his when he was just a kid and it was war.

    Great fights Salido:
    Vargas
    Martinez I
    Martinez II
    Kokietgym
    Lopez I
    Lopez II

    Elite's fought Gatti:
    De la Hoya
    Maywether

    Elites fought Salido:
    Lomachenko
    Marquez
    Gamboa
    Garcia

Gatti's a 2 weight champion with 5 title defenses. Salido is a 2 weight champion (if you count the interim) with 2 defenses. Gatti is 40-9. Salido is 43-13-4-1. Salido has upset wins over Lomachenko, Lopez, and Guerrero. I can't remember Gatti beating anybody he wasn't supposed to. To have the same kind of upset record as Salido Gatti would have to have beaten Tszyu, Judah, or Castillo.

I can think of two great Katsidis fights. Graham Earl 2007 and Juan Manuel Marquez in 2010. I think I heard his Guerrero fight was good but I can't remember if I saw it. Has he got others like those?

*Judging from his wikipedia page it sounds like the Amonsot and Escobedo fights are worth a watch.

Id say in victory, the earl fight showed why he wasnt quite world class.not slagging earl but he steamrolled him then his face first style was exposed.to hang in there and rock jmm showed what kept him near that level as he was as tough as old boots.
Theres not many who have ever been elite on limited skill but brute strength and toughness.marciano probably the last in an era were boxers werent as schooled as they are today
