Another completely over looked in this capacity is Ray Robinson because of his other skills .. fought twenty five years and essentially never stopped ... as tough as they came ..

Here if what you are going to see. White people will say Rocky Marciano because he is white. Lol how did he prove he was tough? By fighting 50 year old guys? Most of the fighters her fought were bums and mob controlled. So he wasn't hit much.

The toughest fighters would have to be people who get hit a lot.

    Joe Frazier.
    Evander Holyfield
    George Foreman ( Second version)
Muhammad Ali late in his career
Riddick Bowe ( His 3 fights against Holyfield and his 2 fights with Golota prove that)

Some people would have George Chuvalo but in reality the only true puncher he faced was Foreman (Well some people will say Frazier. Frazier to me was a break you down puncher not a 1 shot hard puncher). What other world class punches did Chuvalo face?

Sugar Ray Robinson fought so many slow plodding Italian fighters through his career that doing his prime he wasn't hit often and most of these guys weren't big punchers. Was SRR tough? Sure but no tougher than tons of other fighters.

You're just saying that because you're black. We can't believe anything you say.

Yep and he nearly went out dead game against Joey Maxim, that night could have very easily cost him his life.

Sugar Ray Robinson...he was stopped once due to heat stroke but otherwise the guy fought killers throughout his career multiple times. Towards the end as he got older and slower he had to show his toughness more and more. Ali is also right there as he had the same grit as did Sugar Ray.

Danny "Little Red" Lopez deserves an honorable mention. He was stopped in fights but never before he took an ungodly number of clean punches.

Good point. Ray had said that he didn`t fully recover from that fight for about 6 months.

He may have never recovered fully at all, I believe you only have so much in the tank.
