Who's The Worst Possible Match Up, For Vitali Klitschko?

Holmes went tit for tat with Norton, Williams and Witherspoon, had some trouble with Cooney, and lost x2 to Spinks (faded version). There’s no reason at all to think he’d have an easy night with Vitali.

Vitali came off a long layoff and destroyed the best hooker in the division when he beat Peter (Brewster was faded by then). Chisora didn’t hurt an old and injured Vitali either.

 

Yeah but Holyfield was running on fumes. I personally would give as much weight to Vits beating Holyfield as I give to Berbick beating Ali.

 

Nahhhh. Sanders throws long straight punches and Tyson throws curving ones. And I think Vitali handled Sanders better than anybody I have seen, stylistically speaking. Sanders was whiffing air all night long not at all his usual connect ratio.

 

For the record no one ever has an easy night w Vitali….it would be a rare matchup for anyone to have an “easy” night w an ATG. It’s my opinion thag there speed and power and stamina give Vitali a hard time. He didn’t seem to handle speed well. Most of the men he fought were slow talentless hacks. Men like Byrd and Sanders gave him a hard time w their speed. Those men were known for their speed and accuracy (Ali Holmes Tyson)

 

Sanders was never that good and came into that fight like it was his last. He looked out of shape and was. He still gave him a rough time. Tyson whom was sooooo much better I’d wager stops him. He looked awfully sloppy when pressured. Like against Lennox and Sanders and even Byrd at times.

 

The line-up that Vitali fought was roughly at the same level as Holmes’ opponents, but Lewis was better than all of them.

 

I don’t think much of Holmes opposition but Cooney Witherspoon Mercer Norton and Shavers are prob better than anyone Vitali beat. His opposition was abysmal and he lost to the best he fought

 

styles, fights.

 

When I remember Holyfield calling the Klitschkos out he was beyond shot.

 

Cooney might’ve lost to Sanders (if not others)
Witherspoon might’ve lost to Gomez (if not others)
Norton might’ve lost to Peter (“”)
Mercer might’ve lost to Adamek
Shavers might’ve lost to Arreola (yes, Arreola was a beast against guys he could catch up with)

Not much difference in terms of level.

And of course, Vitali’s level is also speculated based on giving Lewis hell before losing on cuts and being headed to a ud over Byrd before quitting with a torn rotator cuff.

Yes, it’s true.

Cooney got murdered by Spinks. Lol at him avoiding Sanders’ attacks.

Witherspoon lost to Bonecrusher and was totally inconsistent. Gomez was better at banking rounds.

Norton had no chin.

Mercer lost to Ferguson.

Shavers was chinny and had crappy defense to boot.

Well who do u think is a bad matchup for Vitali?

 

Povetkin was better at hooking.
Peter was faded badly. The vitali fight was sandwiched between a pitiful performance against McCline and a lost to Chambers.
Peters state was the same as Ruslan Chagaev when he lost to Lucas Brown.
Carlos Takam would beat that version of Peter.
