Your logic doesn't make sense to me: even if Toney lost to Griifin, does that mean all the compliments Toney's gotten through the years in articles & praise from fighters, trainers, etc about his slickness, defense, high boxing IQ etc means nothing?

When someone is so much in love with a fighter that they make ridiculous claims like "Toney's defense didn't amount to a hill of beans against McCallum", or "Vitali had better defense than Toney" to defend them, they are more than likely too unreasonable to take seriously.

I am correct that he turned down Kiltschko. I recall the Valeuv vs Chagaev fight happened in 2007. Vitali made him an offer in 2009.

The two options were the stumbling block for several contenders.
K2 not only had the options ,but the right to name the opponent,no prizes for guessing who that/they would have been.
Vitali would have been a full nights work for anyone,that he chose not to fight so many ranked contenders dramatically and negatively impacts on his legacy and that's on him.
