This is a question to all who watched both mayweather vs maidana fights. Saturday night it didn't seem like Kenny Bayless allowed Maidana to do too much work on the inside. A fair amount of people seem to be unhappy about that.

My question to you is who is to blame for this? All referees are just like us and have opinions about how a fight goes and how to handle a fight as its happening. The first fight was clearly a very dirty, rough and tumble fight. A lot of this "dirtyness" was initiated by maidana. Kenny Bayless could have easily watched the first fight and felt maidana was out of control and he wanted to make sure that in the fight he reffed that all that rough housing non sense wouldn't be allowed.

Or mayweather could have complained and complained and influenced kenny bayless some.

I personaly think it was probably a little bit of both. But i would like to hear from everyone else as well

That's Mr. Bayless's style. He refs like that in all his fights. Floyd may have lobbied for him but he surely didn't influence him. You saw how hard he talked to Floyd in the Mosley fight. Bayless takes no **** from any fighter. He checked Mosley in the Margarito fight.

    Who's to blame

I wouldn't be surprise if Void got knocks out in the third and Bayless tried to help him up.

Bayless was a disgrace He lost all the credibility he'd built up during his career in one disgustingly disgraceful performance His Coup de gras was taking a point from Maidana for that elbow to the face Something Floyd had been doing all night and all career long
with impunity. That's along with the incessant holding he was not punished for Give Kenny a T.M.T. cap he deserves one

    He was awful

Never oonce let them fight out

Usually early a ref at least let's them work their way out

He never warned for holding once

    Changed the fight pretty significantly

The worst part is that a number of times he jumped in BEFORE a clinch even occurred and had to pull back when he realized Floyd wasn't holding. Just goes to show he was WAY too quick and looking to break any inside action up immediately.

Not that without him Maidana would have won, the point is Floyd didn't need to be protected like that. Kenny is a great ref but he really damaged his credibility by performing a Joe Cortez, it was really sickening to watch

I posted somewhere early ,it didn;t matter who the ref was ,there was going to be some kind of excuse on whoever was in that ring. I saw this before round one.

Please explain what you mean Manfred.....
Where was there a pay back?? Or did you mean a payoff?? Yeah obviously Bayless was paid off. Thats another thing that makes the HOF a laughing stock Not only do they induct steroid abuses & B movie actors but they also induct corrupt referees I'll bet Bayless is a shool in

Bayless will still be a ref why the whining continues. He's been in the business since 1993 and has ref just about every known fighter known to man and now because people hate Floyd they hate the ref....this is soooooo funny.

I get your a nut-hugger, but don't act like anyone on this forum has never seen Bayless ref before. He nor any other ref in the history of boxing "refs like that" No ref literally dives in to fighters in a clinchefore 1 second of a clinch has actually expired.

Watch the 10th rd loser, 1 min left. Maidana's hand is free he is nailing mayweather, and Bayless takes a punch for Mayweather with- tn .5 seconds.

Seriously why do you even watch boxing? You can't even objective like a normal human being.
