It seems to me boxers are blaming the variety of different weight classes and titles on why boxing is dying? DLH and Calzaghe have mention this recently... I totally disagreed... The fans always have an idea who the true champ is and sometimes having different fighters with belts is what creates matches to see who the better man is... I strongly believe boxing is far from dying with exception of the heavyweight division which was one of the main attractions throughout its history, but its fixable with better promotion... people who are not hardcore fans are beginning to realize smaller weight divisions could provide more exciting fights... the problem why boxing seems to struggle is ppv pricing... its ridiculous.. get this fix and I bet boxing would generate more revenue... 59.99 or 25.99 sounds better with better undercards??? what do you guys think?

The next UFC event is worth every penny of $59.99. DLH vs Pac wasn't worth $59.99. It was probably worth $59.99 seeing DLH finally get what he deserved, but the card wasn't worth $59.99, and the DLH vs Pac fight definetely wasn't worth $59.99

its all the belts. The fans know who the real champ is but most of the time there isn't a real champ, and that because of all the belts. So its often impossible to get a consensus on who is the best in a division. Its all hearsay, and to a casual fan hearsay is uninteresting.

Yeah its like, well I'm not 100% sure: WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF and I probably missed a couple more there.. Just cut that **** down to a couple of belts, WBC-WBA, done..

I think there should be a period of every 4 months or so...when there's a public poll as to what fight should be made...and once the results are in...IT HAPPENS! :good

Haven't you heard? Ali/Chuvalo killed boxing. Seriously, many pundits at the time claimed that fight would signal the end of the sport. This "boxing is dead" **** has been going on for decades.
