Tszyu would never get outclassed like Hamed against Barrera. A complete shutout. Also Hamed quit at the old age of 28. Tszyu also fought better boxers. It's not even close.

Naseem Hamed was much better than Kostya Tszyu. Tszyu is on my top 10 list of most overrated fighters in history, by the way. I'll put it this way, Hamed belongs in the IBHOF and Tszyu does not.

haha. KT of course. Hamed lost one fight right when he should have been peaking and retired from boxing. KT was never dominated like hamed was. lost a close fight when he was green. lost another close one as a semi-retired old man. won all the rest.

To the person who said Tszyu would of never been outclassed the way Hamed was against Barrera, first of all, he was. And it was against a guy who has half the talent of a Barrera, a guy named Ricky Hatton. Tszyu got stopped on his stool, Hamed went the distance. Tszyu getting beat and bullied by a guy like Ricky Hatton is far more damaging to his rep than Hamed being beat by an ALL TIME great in Barrera.

A faded 36 year old Tszyu got outwrestled and punched in the marbles in a fight in Hatton's hometown where the ref was in Hatton's pocket. After that no one wanted to fight in Britain. Hamed was made to look like a rag doll against Barrera for 12 rounds. When Hamed was outclassed he was 27 years old and retired at the old age of 28. This guy was the ultimate quitter. He quit his career rather than trigger the rematch clause he had in his contract with Barrera.

KT with no room for doubt.

If Hamed had gone on then it could be a different story. But he quit - not just in a fight; he threw in his whole career. It's the biggest quit in boxing.

I could also never see Hamed losing to a calibre fighter like HAtton or Vince Phillips.

    Barrera won by 116-111 x2 115-112

Tszyu never faced anyone like BArrera...unless u count a totally shot JCC
