last i saw 3d glasses cost about £130, which you will need at least 2 of. as someone else has said it wont take off imo, look how long it took for people to ugrade vhs to dvd, old style big back tv to plasma flat screens. folk have took years to swap over and in the height of a global economic slowdown, buying another tv to replace the plasma you only bought 12 months ago is the last thing on the shopping list...

Tvs are like £3000 for 3D.

Yates in Southampton are showing it; maybe others will be too.

 

i work in a panasonic store they start from 1500 for a 42inch

 

You can get 3D glasses for £1 at the cinema. When I went to see Toy Story 2 in 3D they gave the glasses out for free. I forgot to bring them back to see Toy Story 3D and had to pay £1 for another pair. So I have two pairs of 3D glasses. I'm willing to sell one pair for a discount price of £105 that's £25 off RRP you cannot get a better deal elsewhere. PM me if interested :good

 

the ones that are used for home tv's are different to the cinema etc they are battery powered and use the active shutter method as opposed to the passive method.

 

I can supply batteries as well (inc. in price).

not really. it's because of you mugs that we have to pay PPV for such a dire of a match-up, it's crap. if we all stopped paying for this sort of match-up, then the likes of david haye and the future up n comers won't be able to get away with it without fighting a very credible opponent, which then warrants a PPV.

no surprise why haye is fighting the calibre of audley harrison if he knows mugs will pay 15 quid to watch it, he must be laughing his head off at you guys, i know i would be.

 

guys the 3d glasses aint the old school red and blue lenses, state of teh art tech the new glasses are, imagine if you have you have 8 mates around to watch the fight, how the hell are you gonna do that.

 

Yeah, the 3D TVs have a lot of flaws. Don't you get a certain amount of glasses included when buying a 3D TV? Imagine having a family of four (which isn't uncommon at all) and buying a 3D telly for £1500 ish, then getting 4 ****ing glasses for an extra £500ish ATM I think it's just a status thing 'yeah I've got a 3d telly :hat'. Apparently in the future they'll have 3D tellies which don't need the glasses, though I have no idea how they'd work. Reckon they'd **** your eyes up...

 

i went into currys today to have a look at a 50" samsung 3d telly.....i shouldnt have.
it was very very good.

i cant afford one like...but i really really want to see this fight on one of them now.

 

whats the difference between the glasses that come with the tellys and the ones for a quid in the cinema ?
the glasses that come with the samsungs feel very plasticy and cheap...yet over 100 euros a throw.
