Your whole conclusion is based on assumption. You don't know if Wladimir Klitschko underestimated Tyson Fury whatsoever (I highly doubt it), never mind "seriously underestimating" Tyson Fury. I think that it's certainly farfetched to assume that this was the case, considering Wladimir Klitschko had always been meticulous in his preparation and yet had never experienced a pre-fight build-up like that.

People (many of whom have a bias toward Anthony Joshua) like to say that Anthony Joshua was a relative novice. How many people would be saying this had he had another 10 padded wins on his record? The answer is zero. How much would those wins provide in terms of experience in competing against the highest level opposition? Not much. Therefore, I'd say that most entering their first bout against a legend do not have much sufficient prior experience - it's sink or swim. Anthony Joshua had considerable amateur experience at the highest level, which is more than many can bank on - he was also slightly older when he fought Wladimir Klitschko than Tyson Fury was. He also had the comfort of considerable corporate backing, providing him with all of the support and assurances that a boxer could ever wish for. I highly doubt that Anthony Joshua was left wondering when the next opportunity would come about, if it all went wrong, like Tyson Fury must have been thinking.

We can only evaluate based on facts. The facts are that Tyson Fury faced an active, thirty-nine year old long-reigning champion, in the long-reigning champion's venue of choice - where conditions were laid out to suit the long-reigning champion. He outboxed him and won the titles without much difficulty.

Anthony Joshua faced an inactive, former champion, coming off a loss. He faced him in Wembley stadium, in front of adoring fans. He then went life and death with the forty-one year old. Controversially, he was up on the cards at the time of the stoppage - what does that tell you? But let's not focus on that. He got the W.

The name of the game is boxing, not brawling. One displayed a masterful boxing display, against the odds. The other, as favourite, came through a life and death slugfest.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out why Tyson Fury's win is more impressive.

Fury’s probably but that won’t stop me from voting AJ.

He didn't throw anything because for thecthe first time in his career he wasn't the bigger man in the ring and couldn't do his typical jab and grab. Fury had him completely befuddled

If Fury knew what he knew now he could have gone out there and stopped Wlad late.

Fury's win was historic, Wlad knew if he opened up he'd only miss and waste energy gassing out.

Fury did a Mayweather job on him. Wlad was setting himself for failure again the rematch, would have been fun though with a heavily depressed Fury going after him.

Fury defeated Klitschko and endeed his long reign, Joshua defeated the weaker Klitschko compared to the one from the fight with Fury, yet that Klitschko managed to hurt Joshua...

It was s decent win, but definitely not historic. Wlad was 40 and visibly past it.
If he did this to 30-35 year old Wlad it would be a historic win.
When in history of boxing defeating a 40 year old was considered to be a historic win?

Klitschko vs Fury was an abysmal and awful fight. Hard fight to score because both guys threw so few punches.

Fury win was much better he won a clear decision when Wladimir was still the champion. When Joshua fought him he was out of the ring of 17 months and Joshua went through hell to win vs wlad. But what I will say is Wlad fought a better fight vs Joshua then he did vs Fury

No debate here. Fury of course. Fury beat “the man” in the division, the champ of a decade.

The Klitschko Joshua faced was still a formidable fighter, but he was a beaten fighter, a former champ. Beating a long reigning champ like that is almost like taking the “0”, and Fury was the one who did it.

I prefer the bodybuilder 's win because he dropped Wlad 3 times and stopped him. Don't know what's happened to that version of Joshua since the blob Ruiz dealt with him. But I would like him to comeback.

Wlad who fought AJ looked far more willing to mix it up and take risks. Simple decision: AJ's win looked much more impressive. Fury's fight was a stinker.

Joshua s win was more aesthetically pleasing but in Tysons case he out boxed the boxer. Kinda like he played into his strengths and beat him at his own game. Lennox Lewis said this is hw boxing man getting knocked down and getting back up. That's what people pay to see.

Fury shut him down completely. It was impressive.
