Quite possibly, I was away the week before the fight and didn't see how market moved late on before the fight.
Hatton. He won every round and made paulie look silly. Khan looked sloppy for the first half of their fight, missing with most of his punches. Ricky really put on a boxing display against Paulie.
Well there's a shocker. Hatton didn't actually "outmuscle" him that much, he actually used his jab well at times, like Khan did. He also rocked the younger, fresher Paulie a few times, which I don't remember Khan doing. Hatton forced Paulie to fight like a *****, he was hanging on for dear life at times. Hatton easily the more impressive performance.
I didn't vote but what's interesting is that Malignaggi, although he was gracious after the Hatton fight has never given him full credit for the win and has refused to accept that Hatton is better than him. He's talked about being badly prepared, not his usual self, and that he was with the wrong trainer and that's why he lost. Contrast that with his comments after the Khan fight where he made no excuses and said that in his whole career he has only fought two elite fighters-Cotto and Khan. Now this doesn't mean that Malignaggi is being truthfull but there you go. Maybe he just cannot accept that fact that he was beaten by somone considered a brawler. Hatton was supposed to be stronger and tougher but not a better boxer. Malignaggi is known as "the dude who punches like a girl" but one thing he does take pride in is his boxing ability. In his mind he can be outmuscled but he's not supposed to be outboxed by someone like Hatton. It happened though and that must be hard for him to take.
Khans was more impressive because Paulie was coming off a good win against Diaz and was a much better fighter under Sherif Younan
I'd say Khan as Hatton was a nightmere stylewise for Paulie, plus Paulie was in better shape and form vs. Amir.
I really don't think Hatton implemented his usual style against Paulie. He managed to beat Paulie with less handspeed, being less fresh, and probably nearing the end of his physical prime. So, Hatton. Amir had all the advantages over Paulie, I said that before the fight happened, as did most of us. Joke of a fight.
why do ppl even talk about malinaggi his best win was over a small lightweight who had no buissness at 140
