This. The way I see it, his criminal past aside, Don King was good for boxING and bad for boxERS. I attended some of those cards that started at 4 of an afternoon and ended at or just past midnight. I remember seeing the likes of Julian Jackson and Simon Brown in ‘throwaway’ undercard fights before sundown … I’m that guy who wants to be there for first bell and stay to the last. I’m there to see, not be seen, haha. Eddie is probably better for boxERS (especially in comparison to King) but I don’t think he’s been good for boxING, the sport.
