Yildririm I would say; lost to Brit level Jack Cullen and his last fight was a knockout loss to a Turkish geezer I've never heard of.
Yildrim was a weak gatekeeper at best, whom I have no idea why he was made the mandatory. I don't rate Berlanga but I think he'll have a slightly better career than Yildrim, and will last longer than Yildrim against Canelo. I'd say Berlanga is barely touching contender, or at least a strong gatekeeper. Defo not anywhere good enough to be champion whatsoever, unless he gets a typical vacant title shot against a weak gatekeeper at Yildrims level.
I think Yildrim did great against former champ and ring mag contender Anthony Dirrell. Before that though he was blown out by Eubank jr. To me Berlanga seems a little more consistant overall and has some strange sense of Destiny. I think Canelo is going to bust him up and stop him though. Berlanga talking alot of s*** and Canelo going to see it. I think Eubank jr would beat Berlanga but not like he did Yildrim. This is Berlanga's chance to raise his stock. Berlanga vs prime Yildrim would be a toss up, i give the edge to Berlanga because he always gets the Benefit of the doubt. So, i think Yildrim is prabably worse.
Berlanga arguably lost to Steve Rolls and Angulo. I won't say who's worse, I will say they both appear precarious at a certain level. There's nothing redeeming about this fight other than seeing Berlanga get beat up on.
I’d say Yildrim As he was a mandatory… whatever that means these days (other then a soft ball slow ball served up by the WBC) Berlanga will at least be a 300+ PPV buy On the PR vs Mexico angle on Sept 13th.
