I know a good few have Ali and Louis at 1 and 2,tho that's not a given. But who's ur guy at number 3?
I find this can seem to change for me personally as time goes on.
I've got Lennox Lewis there now, has been a while but Holmes and Foreman have both slotted in.
Your personal third best and why?

    Marciano.

There are about ten reasonable contenders though. I see very few bad answers to this question.

    Louis
    JJW
    Tyson

I'd bet these 3 against ANY Heavyweights in History - PEAK for Peak...

Super Heavyweights need not apply. WHY? - because there NOT HW's - Height and Reach MATTER!

it's a different division, we allow it for EVERY Smaller fighter stepping UP out of their division, and we are not talking weight, we are talking the substantial HEIGHT & REACH differences that the Smaller fighter doesn't 'Usually' overcome, usually.

S-HW is a different division and should ALWAYS be put into context!

Joe Louis would knock Larry Holmes out clean. 10 count. He would hurt Holmes and finish Him

I don't see that tbh. I'm a believer that Holmes is a nightmare for Joe with his Jab. And heart of plenty at getting up from a massive shot. I've Louis at 2 tho, with Holmes at 4, styles make fight s head to head.

It is the motive why i pick Louis over Holmes, not legacy but styles. Larry Holmes was hurt several times and badly by good right hands, Joe Louis not only had a huge bomb in the right but he was the best combo puncher ever in the hw division, if poor fighters landed a right hand on the chin of Holmes i have no type of doubt that Louis would too with the difference that he was one of the best finishers of all time. Also larry Holmes was not like a young Cassius Clay moving around all the fight, larry was a little more static and he got mad several times and traded with punchers and he paid it. I see Louis keeping Holmes down. But it is only how i see it

For me its a toss up between Holmes, Marciano, Frazier, Tyson and Lewis in that order. Depending on the day I rate them in different orders. If there was a gun to my head to choose, I would probably pick Tyson head to head against all of them prime for prime. But when you factor in everything else - particularly heart, probs Frazier, Marciano and Holmes.

I know a sh!tton of people on this forum think Frazier was overrated. But he took the 0 from Ali, widely considered the greatest HW of all time. Counts for a farkn lot in my opinion. Plus I like Joe. So probs Frazier at 3 for me.
