    I'd be inclined to nudge Humerto Gonzalez in there, if only because he beat Michael Carbajal twice.

    if we're going by ethnicity, then this is correct.
    Nationality wise, its Chavez. Sanchez died too young to face enough fighters to be the greatest ever

    Well, for the purposes of this thread (5 greatest, not the single greatest), Sanchez certainly qualifies.

    In some cases age and number of years active are irrelevant. Sanchez had more than 40 fights, more than 30 KO's, one loss, and beat the best of the day, including the great Little Red Lopez twice and dissected Wilfredo Gomez, one of the best if not the best super bantamweights ever, something I'd considered impossible. Gomez was so good I just couldn't imagine anyone beating him that easily, but Sanchez did.

    With some fighters more bouts would just give them more opportunities to prove what they'd already made obvious.
