I chose Vic, closely followed by Kats. Probabaly Danny or Geale would be next for me. Sakio and Kali haven't fought in ages. Hoppa? Mundine will not make any list of mine until he fights for a belt overseas and puts on a decent performance win or lose. I don't beleive it will happen though.
Katsidis for me. Always had the balls, has now developed some pretty solid skills as well. Reckon he can do some real damage to the division for the next couple of years. After that Vic, after that Sakio (although purely as a fighter, I do wish he'd shut the **** up when people point a microphone at him). At the other end of the scale Bumdine for just generally being a fraud (even more annoyingly he's the only boxer most people have heard of which really ****s me off).
Kat and Vic are on par for me. Vic edges him out as he can truly whoop anyone in his division and stand a good chance against those around his. Unfortunately for Kat, though he is willing, I don't think he's quite as skilled and so I put Vic ahead, despite his silly losses... Both are a credit to the sport and Australia - shame the general public aren't behind them further.
Vic why: constnatly seeks the best opposition, exciting fights. doesn't duck anyone which is alot more then can be said about Australia's other "top" fighters (DG, AM)
People like Darchinyan over Tua? Just can't see how someone could prefer him myself, regarding neither style in the ring nor personality out of it. Katsidis would be my #2; would be supplanted by Briggs if he ever climbs back between the ropes.
Local : Always have a soft spot for the filo kids. Overseas: Never really gravitated towards anyone, but I've really come to like Andre Ward. (before the Kess fight btw lol). Although it's very disapointing to learn that he is associated with Victor Conte (BALCO). He's an idiot for dealing with him regardless of whether or not Conte has served his penance and is "above board' now...very unlikely.
ditto...xept i go 4 kat cause hes a queenslander...greens tops 2...loved briggsie when he was round...lost patience with mundine years ago...
This was a hard one, didn't want to choose one of our orgs current champs, although I really admire what Green has achieved, Geale wasn't named and that is a shame so went for Vic
