Roy Jones Junior, the greatest boxer to ever step into the ring. In terms of co-ordination, and athletic ability, and technical skill.

Roy Jones Junior is up there with Usain Bolt, Micheal Phelps, Michael Jordon, Tiger Woods......in terms of being a pure enigma, and redefining an art technically.

We have not seen an athlete step in the ring, with Roy Jones ability since Roy Jones. He was one of the last boxers, to ever really have a cult following..........

Guys like Manny Pac and Floyd Mayweather are meant to be the best pound for pound fighters around today. But these guys cannot throw combinations like Roy Jones, just watching Roy Jones is like watching Michael Jordon in a dunk contest........a true artist.

In my eye's he was the last ever boxer, to really hold the pound for pound title.

It's just a popularity contest these days, but Roy Jones was simply the best boxer on the planet for a decade

 

martinez. Great skills and he's done it the hard way.

 

Currently it has to be Juan Manuel Marquez.

Two things that draw me to him, his technique and his heart. His technique is brilliant and is a beau to watch.
Probably even more so is his heart, he has a real conered animal mentality, coming back from that first round against Pacman was really special. I loved how against Diaz when he was getting bombarded he didn't cover up but stood there and traded like a real warrior.

 

Cotto, embodies everything that's great about the sport. Throwback fighter, will fight absolutely anyone.

Currently it's Cotto, Martinez, Katsidis and Marquez. I've been enjoying watching Donaire too - really hope the fight against Montiel gets made.

 

Victor Ortiz, cant quite pin what it is i like so much about him but he's seriously under-rated on here and think he'll prove how good he is in the next 12 months

Gotta love the Marquez bro's, Martinez and Cotto loving the respect they get on this forum. Agree with dftaylor on Donaire, after his superb breakout win over Darchinyan his careers levelled out a bit but hope he can get some some good fights he's quality. Also a big Gamboa nut, paticularly after he won me £50 off a mate when I bet on him becomming World champion (EASY! :happy EASY! :happy)

All-time Tommy Hearns, Ray Robinson, JMM, Joe Louis and Mike Tyson. You come to the ring with bad intentions (not Jermain Taylor...) you get a big tick from me.

I actually think on the whole the brit forum here is good for appreciating fighters of different nationalities not just placing bias on home fighters when judging/prediciting fights

 

Bradley at the moment, just like his style: looks to hit the body, moves his head and best of all hits people when they try to clinch-a rare sight these days, as is getting up on his toes. Nice to see a well rounded fighter.

All boxing followers should be fans of Martinez, nothing to dislike about him.

Purely from a boxing point of view, i really like Andre Ward. I don't really have a favourite right now though, but if i had to choose one then it's probabily Miguel Cotto. Just on his body of work and attitude.
