Yup, also if Berto fights the likes of Cotto/ Margarito his 0 will go and if Dawson fights Calzaghe.

Povetkin is the obvious choice if he faces Klitschko.

Valero, Berto, Arreola, & Chagaev are also good candidates.

I picked Chris John.... He's a pretty good fighter but to me, he is due for a loss.....

Looking at that list, Lopez seems to be in plenty of danger... He wants Vasquez... Caballero is also in the picture for Vasquez... Which to me means that he may have to go through him to get to Vasquez... And I see Juanma possibly beating Vasquez, but I see him losing to Caballero...

Lamont Peterson had a tough time with Lanardo Tyner.... It makes you wonder how he would handle guys like Ngoudjo or a Timothy Bradley......

and speaking of Timothy Bradley, he's on a collision course with Devon Alexander... another unbeaten... And also wat happens when Bradley steps up and faces a top 10 guy with some toughness...

Assuming Povetkin faces Klitschko, that 0 is gone....

    Valero
    Mayweather
    Bute
    Presscott
    Berto
    Angulo
    Duddy
    Povetkin

Those are the ones with the best chance of losing their "0" if you ask me..

I'm going with Berto using logic similar to yours. He's in the deepest division talent-wise and he has to step up the competition in 2009.

Berto if he moves up a level in the Welterweight division.

A fight against the top second tier guys like Cintron would serve Berto well.
If he were to fight the top tier guys his 0 is gone.

Depends on who they fight really.

Berto will beat Collazo, Mayweather may not fight in 09 and likewise for Calzaghe, I don't expect to see Chris John, Valero and Abraham lose either.

That leaves Povs, J.Lopez Bad Chad and Linares. Linares-Donaire will be a great fight that's about 50/50 ish. That said I'd favor Linares over Donaire in a close epic battle. I think they'll be a rematch or two in there as well.

Bad Chad beats Tarver in a rematch and probably edges out B-Hop..but if he fights Kessler or Calzaghe I think he loses. I don't see either fight happening so that's a pass on that one.

J.Lopez has the biggest risk in facing off with the torrential Izzy Vasquez. I've learned that betting against Izzy will leave you a broken and humble man....but I think he's heading out the door where as JuanMa is coming in. I think it'd be a great fight for the fans and I have it 55/45 for JuanMa.

That leaves Povs whose facing Klitschko. Yeah, there's yer winner right there.

Povetkin is most likely to lose his 0.
