Well Roy got KOd alot more then either Hearns or LEWIS..

I guess that means he got the weakest chin...he's been knocked out like 17 times..

Hearns only been KOs 3 times and lewis twice (and he avenged both, one by clear knockout)

    All praise to Allah

None of the 3 had glass jaws in their primes.

Hearns. Whether it was chin or his spindly legs, he was the shakiest. Jones didn't become shaky until an advanced age.

Well its hard to really say, he so rarely had it tested because of his superhuman reflexes. But you can't teach a granite chin. When Ali slowed and started getting hit cleanly the world realized he had a class A chin. When Jones slowed...... Well the results speak for themselves....

I know Hearns' chin wasn't granite, but it wasn't as bad as people make out. He went toe to toe with Hagler for 3 rounds ffs. You can't have a china chin and do that.

Louis did not have a glass jaw. I don't know if Jones did in his prime, he was not really hit a clean shot by an expert to test his jaw. In later years, he was no George Chuvalo.

True. I don't think it's fair to say Hearns was chinny. He took a hell of a beating off Leonard before he went, same with Hagler. And it was a body attack in both fights that undid him. He got caught by a huge right by Barkley that he didn't see. Fair enough but that doesn't make him chinny. Most top fighters would fall to an unseen bomb.

Part of Tommy's problem was his style of all-out attack which was at the expense of defence. With that mindset and fighting at world level for a decade there are bound to be a few shaky moments.

Even some of the superchins listed here got decked. Ali, when Cassius Clay vs Banks and Cooper, Holyfield vs Bert Cooper.

One of our boys, Paul S**** Iron Ryan, could dig a bit but was let down by his chin. Again, like Hearns, he was so busy going for a spectacular ko he'd forget he'd left his chin out to dry.

It actually shows how special Tommy was that he only got sparked by Barkley and Kinchen (albeit he survived The Heat) when he fought as long as he did in the style that he did with the opponents he faced. Losses to MMH and SRL were more beatdowns than getting sparked so I don't count those as knocks against his chin, rather against his stamina and endurance rather than punch resistance.
