Whose hyped for Barrera vs Smith Jr

Been looking foward to it ever since the fight was confirmed.

I'm pulling for Smith Jr to win, but it's a well matched fight where either guy could take it -- the kind of fight that's beneficial to the sport.

 

Good scrap and I'm always hyped for a good matchup.

Jr. is just too one dimensional. He's a Kovalev 2.0
No defense, and a very small arsenal.
I like him for his story and his power but :/

 

after that, theres only 4 in the division that was a class below.

 

damn smith basically gave up after round 4. He sucks when hes on the back foot.

 

My Rocky Balboa dream is over lol. Good win for Barrera. Total boxing lesson.

 

Kovalev has a mastery of distance control, and amazing jab, and great in and out footspeed to help deliver his great power. Joe Smith jr. just has power. Kovalev is far from one dimensional.

 

I have never seen Kovalev throw an uppercut, or even commit to a hook. He is a straight puncher with a great jab. He cannot work on the inside or even mix up what he does. His power comes from switching which is something unique to eastern European fighters. His normal foot speed is on par with most other boxer punchers.

 

Kovalev destroy smith 6 round max .

 

I kind figured Barrera's pedigree would show, although Joe gave us another moment in round 1. He tired though by round 4 and disappointed after that. Good fight. Bring on Barrera vs Kovalev

 

Oh well guys.

Only two things you neglected in making your predictions:

1. Smith can't fight.

2. Barrera can.

Kovalev is capable of outboxing anybody, you cant say the same thing about Smith.

 

Look, Smith had the opportunity to pop a jab and throw a big overhand right or left hook.... he just didn't, **** his broke jaw.... he could have won that fight, Sullivan willed his way past a huge knockdown to a big win.

 

Thank god this smith joke its over!! So funny to see how many said he was gonna ko barrera! Hahahahhaa what a joke!
