To be honest, until his name started cropping up when his book came out, I had never heard of him. I've never seen him box or anything and I know next to nothing about him now other than the Tyson connection (I haven't read his book).
I'm not questioning anything about him, just found it odd that I have followed and been involved in the sport most of my life but didn't know who he was.
I saw him on Bunce's Boxing Hour and he came across as a nice guy though, seemed OK, decent enough.

 

I seem to recall Herbie Hide getting knocked down by Riddick Bowe.

He did go in against Lewis and survived on his feet so give the man some credit!

 

Mitchell's was also the first!

 

I watched it again the other day..... some of those were just gusts of wind from Bowe's wild shots.

If any fight was an indicator of someone on the slippery slope, it was that one.
