To be honest, until his name started cropping up when his book came out, I had never heard of him. I've never seen him box or anything and I know next to nothing about him now other than the Tyson connection (I haven't read his book). I'm not questioning anything about him, just found it odd that I have followed and been involved in the sport most of my life but didn't know who he was. I saw him on Bunce's Boxing Hour and he came across as a nice guy though, seemed OK, decent enough.
I watched it again the other day..... some of those were just gusts of wind from Bowe's wild shots. If any fight was an indicator of someone on the slippery slope, it was that one. Shame :-(
Mike Tyson's knock out of Bruce Seldon..... I thought Seldon fell down due to catching pneumonia from the breeze of Tyson's punch.
You're missing Campas' one-inch punch on Trinidad :deal Man he could whack. Just nudges Tito in retalitation in the clinch and Tito's legs do a funny dance. Brutal stoppage in Trinidad's favour a few rounds later. Alas, Campas stayed on his feet. Horrific.
Big muscular rugby player named Adam knocked down a 16 year old Naseem Hamed in sparring at the Wincobank gym. Local unknown ginger haired lad - knocked down a young Colin Jones in sparring. Milton McCory was the only man to score a official knockdown of Colin Jones in the pro ranks. Tyson bloodied up Lennox Lewis in sparring as teenagers. Howard Eastman caused Steve Collins to faint during a sparring session.
Eastman also KO'd Herol Graham in sparring... Jamie Moore is known to score the odd knockdown in sparring I hear.
