Kinda. (though correct phraseology would be that Mayweather is similar to Whitaker ;))

In what world is Broner's handspeed comparable to Floyd's? Floyd's handspeed has fallen off from what it once was and he's STILL faster than Broner.

Ward, in spirit any way. Both Mayweather and Ward share similar athletic gifts, adaptability and low cunning. They can pick off an opponent at range, using superior hand speed to counter-punch, frustrate and render gun-shy; happily get in close to smother their opponents whilst landing a few crafy ones themselves; and, both are lovers of the dirtier end of the sweet science - use of head and elbow, low blows on the ref's blind side, wrestling / clinching, holding and hitting.

I'm no fight scholar, but the way they both fight (but definitely not their prima donna behaviour) strikes me as a throwback to the Murderers' Row / Black Code. Getting the win with maximum economy and minimum pain (though in Floyd's case I suspect because of fear / eogtism, rather than his antecedents' need to be able to fight another tough opponent in a couple of weeks).

    TC/Lara/Rigo

I voted TC but I just as easily could have voted Rigo or Lara.

Broner is faster than Floyd. FACT

But Broner has horrible timing, prediction skills, etc. This is why when he faces opponents Floyd could hit easily he misses constantly. Also his reflexes are slower this makes Broner get hit more. In terms of pure hand speed Broner is better than Floyd.

I totally agree with you on that. He has that same presence of mind and he moves around the ring and conducts himself in the same fashion as a young Mayweather did. He don't throw that leaping left hook like Mayweather used to but he don't have to because he is tall enough. His fighting resemblance to Mayweather really showed in that Castille fight. He was almost flawless.
