Until he hurt the other guy(who is obviously very chinny) and earned his respect he was getting tagged easily enough by Rabotte. Just because Rabotte was coming forward and trying. I think Wilder has some potential but I haven't been very impressed so far, he needs a Huge amount of work.
Obviously he was in there with a poor opponent and his rawness was prominently displayed, but one cannot doubt the physical gifts that Wilder has. His right hand looks to be very powerful.
It is very powerful; but I still say Deontay shoulda stuck around for another year or two in the amateurs; they would have paid him and he got a bonus for his medal anyway.
Highlight reel final KD and KO there.. but Wilder is raw.. raw.. raw. That leaning over habit is gonna get him hurt, and it might take that for him to learn not to do it.
A solid if unspectacular first round for Jacobs. The opponent is having a little bit of success getting in the left jab, but nothing that is too concerning at this point.
