It was a big win for Pacquaio but I am not so sure if that version was a zombie, or Pacquaio was just too good for him that he toyed with him and made him quit.

Could Margarito, Mosley, Cotto, Clottey, Berto have beaten Dela Hoya that night ? Or they would have struggled for a victory?

    Thoughts.

Probably all of them just not as one-sided cause Pac won every second. But what super featherweights and lightweights could have done it?

quite a lot of guys would have beaten Oscar that night. Even Freddy Roach seen the IV marks on Oscars arm he knew it would be easy night.

Freddy Roach knew Oscar was shot before that. He said so in a number of interviews after training him for Mayweather.

think a better one would be what former flyweights could brutalize Miquel Cotto(no smart arses say Calderon!!) and Ricky Hatton like that.

No top five welterweight of any era that I can imagine would've failed to beat that ODLH. The Trinidad that Oscar schooled/lost to would have literally been a tree. I mean, would have literally killed him.

theres difference between shot and state Oscar was in. he said Oscar couldnt pull the trigger no more. Although he was training pac against Oscar and i would always take what he says with a pinch of salt.

Not Mannys fault the fight backfired on Oscar. funny because Oscar wouldnt have got much credit for winning anyway. instead he made his arch nemesis filthy rich(er) Bob Arum this not long removed from making his other nemesis(mayweather) a box office star.

    no wonder he hit rehab.

Floyd Sr would make Oscar's 36 minutes in the ring his living hell.

Even a ****** boxer would not like to drain himself to 147 way before the fight like what oscar did.

Forget about welters, a lightweight Valero would've possibly killed him in the ring. haha. I remember some haters claimed Oscar was close to death because of his weight.

bottom line is that it was a masterful performance. The kind you generally only see from ATGs

and people forget that Pac was not a WW, he only had one fight above 130 and that was at lightweight.

Not saying this is the case but it is possible that it was more Manny. Maybe his style, straight lefts and very unusual combinations w/ speed form the Southpaw stance looks it like neutralized ODLH to nothing. Too much for Oscar to process and worry about and there was no answer.
it was the potential peak of the one of the greatest offensive fighters of the generation, just give the lil man his due.

Five months before he signed to fight Oscar he had a tough fight with Marquez at 130, five divisions below Oscar.
