cant change the fact Oscar looked half dead and this fighter who only had one fight above 130 actually weighed more than him on fight night.

i agree that Pac looked awesome and i could see that Oscar surviving against more limited fighters like Margarito and Cotto but definetly getting beat.

Pac was great that night never gave him a chance in and out hard straight punches Oscar didnt see coming and couldnt land a thing back even in the knowledge it wouldnt have made a difference if he did connect.

Was Marquez that good or was DLH that shot?

Just think even if shot you don't just whip through Cotto, Marg, Shane and ODLH as a little man without even being in trouble.

The greatest defensive fighter was in the most trouble of his career vs an entirely spent Mosley who had 2 training camps, $ problems and was out of the ring for 16ms.

You have to be special to get past those 4 in that fashion, shot or not. he schooled them like they were b level.

At that point in De La Hoya's career all of the above would have beaten him.
Prime for prime only Mosley would have beaten De La Hoya. Prime for prime De La Hoya would have beaten Pacquiao.

I think Oscar waited too long to rehydrate, hence the fresh IV marks. How can you have IV marks in your arm and only rehydrate two pounds? My guess is Oscar waited for HBO to do their unofficial weigh in and then rehydrated with fluids. Wouldn't make sense otherwise.

Thats not right. Pac fought David Diaz prior to Oscar. At 135.

Of course Marquez was/is a great fighter, tough style matchup for Pac. And obviously Oscar was nowhere near 100% vs Pac and was 36yo or whatever.

But to grasp that Pac was fighting 5 divisions below Oscar six months before he signed to fight him, he deserves alot more credit than he gets for the risk he took by accepting the fight. It's just written off completely now as a meaningless win, some haters even claiming Pac cherry picked Oscar, which completely unfair.

Your right it's not rocket science. De La Hoya at his best is a great head to head welterweight and Pacquiao is an oppertonist.

In March he fought Marquez at 130. In August he signed to fight De La Hoya. That's actually six months, my bad.

After the Marquez fight, where Pac was hurt by body shots, some fans didn't believe he would be able to cope at 135 even. He proved he could by destroying Diaz though.

Pacquiao was or still could be in a rare zone where every target is bigger and slower for him. He is at the highest level of mental ability in the sport.
Even just by a little bit it can be too much for 90% of opponents.

he is so active and not being effected by ODLH, Shane and Cotto's power drops their confidence and they retreat something none are used to.

Oscar was shot and drained to ****. Hardly anyone ever would whoop him that bad regardless. I mean that was a masterful job by Emmanuel, but all those guys would beat Oscars ass that night.
