whose win over quintana was most impressive in your mind for any reason... Cotto: This content is protected Williams: This content is protected Berto:
Definately Cotto's. Williams caught Quinatana early and just finished him off. Berto looked okay for most of the fight and then busted up Quintana in the last two rounds. Cotto broke Quintana down physically and mentally. Quintana looked like he didn't want to be there any more after a couple of rounds.
I guess Cottos to me. He beat Quintana when he was undefeated. Williams took 2 attempts to do so, and I felt Cotto was more convincing in his win over an undefeated fighter, whilst fighting at a new weight division for him. To me that was also better than Bertos win over a fighter that had already been stopped twice
Cotto's for the reasons already mentioned, but people have said Judah was the first to hurt Cotto at WW. Not true; Quintana buckled Cotto's legs in maybe round 3 or 4 with a picture perfect body shot.
Cotto. Although Williams crushing Quintana in a single round is impressive as hell, he did lose their first fight. Cotto just ran right through him.
:deal The Quintana Cotto and Williams fought was a much faster, awkward fighter than the one Berto took on. Quintana was making Berto look awful the first 2-3 rounds of the fight I almost thought I was looking at an upset. Quintana also scored a first round knockdown on Berto's ear that wasn't behind his head. I like Berto, but like I've said before he only fights one way he hasn't changed and if he keeps it up sooner or later he's getting exposed. Do any of you think Mosley would of let Berto off the hook with the way he was giving his back to Quintana repeatedly? Mosley, Pac, or any WW puncher would of made Berto pay for that. Berto's exciting to watch, reminds me abit of Aaron Pryor, great offense, but a nonexistent defense. Against Mosley, Pac, and Floyd he has a puncher's chance and age is on his side so I wouldn't underestimate him either, but if they ever fought either of the top 3 would have to be on their worst nights and Berto on his best in order to beat any of those 3.
Cotto's. Williams needed two fights to beat him. And Berto basically beat a somewhat washed-up version of Quintana, plus Cotto beat him more convincingly.
But he needed 13 rounds to get the KO. Cotto utterly dominated him and then stopped him badly with a vicious body shot, making him fold like a cheap chair. Cottos was obviously more impressive, in my book. :smoke
Agreed, the Williams fight can be looked at as taking 13 rounds to finish. With Cotto, Quintana was brave but was completely broken down and destroyed. Also, Quintana had an undefeated fighters mentality against Cotto, and was forced to quit on his stool, his will to fight was shattered.
