A two-handed Frazier with more power.

I pick tyson for two reasons:Ali never fought anyone with his combination of punching power, speed, head movement, chin, body weight and strength.Second, two of Ali's toughest opponents(in my opinion)were Frazier and Bonavena, both under 6 feet, strong, very good punchers, pressure style with good stamina, chins.Tyson had all they had plus faster hands and a better right.

Frazier doesn't have a particular hard punch?? Do you even know what power is?

Joe had about 10 times more workrate and determination than Tyson, once Ali started landing hurtful shots on Tyson he'd be begging for clinches. He'd have resorted to going for the one big single shot, once a fighter backed Mike up with combinations he didn't know what the hell to do!

James Quick Tillis who had about a Gnats Testicles worth of talent as Ali gave Tyson all that he could handle, now imagine what the Greatest would do to him!
Come on, have a good think about it!

Well most people would agree there was nothing in between them, if such a poor Ali pretender could trouble the worlds baddest man then what would the Greatest do to him???

Tyson was 5 times the fighter Joe Frazier was??? Can I have some of what you're smoking?

Most sober guys OFF THE CLASSIC forum should know Tillis was nowhere near Ali's level.

I've no problem someone saying Tyson beats Ali I'm a big fan of Tyson. It's the dismissal of both Ali and Frazier.
If you're talking pressure fighter Frazier was far superior to Tyson who was mediocre at best on the inside. So the Tyson Frazier comparison in that regard as a gauge of how well Tyson would do versus Ali isn't relevant.
Where Tyson was at his best was from mid range and his hand speed and power would give Ali problems without a doubt.

The only similarity between Tyson and Frazier is that they're both relatively short heavyweights.
Tyson might have more skill, sure but as a swarmer/ pressure fighter there's simply no
    comparison Frazier is far superior.

This is the most sensible post in the thread. Tyson had the mental fortitude of a gnat. Ali just gets up on his toes pops him with fast jabs and combinations, and Tyson breaks down mentally, looking for one big shot.

For my money Tyson is best summed up in the comment by James Toney, when he was still a Light Heavy and he said he'd love to fight Tyson. Asked how he would answer Tyson's speed and power he replied " Easy just hit the mother*****r back, he don't like that."

And Tysons defeats would appear to give credence to that opinion.

Tell you what you do. Take down your schoolgirl type pictures of Tyson, clean them, and put them back. It will make you feel better.:roll:

Toney stated that Tyson was a guy who liked hitting people but didn't like it when he was on the other end. History proved him right.

Toney is a savvy old pro, who has been there, done it, and bought the T shirt.

    You, on the other hand,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Yup. I've always said it's a boy against a man but it's actually a boy against THE man. Even if Tyson wasn't shaken before the fight (which I think is unlikely) he would be rattled during the fight. As the fight wore on, Tyson would become increasingly befuddled, tired and docile.

Like I said, Toney knew what he was talking about pre Tyson / Holyfield. History proved him right. You just THINK you know what you are talking about.

    Huge difference.
