lol you seem really mad about this.do you criticize every fighter who has a cw fight or just pac's???canelo vs cotto will be a catch weight fight will you boycott that? you know the answer pac is testing the waters trying to fight at a lower weight class. Its great I hope this leads to a Pacquiao vs garcia fight.

That has nothing to do with stipulating that Algieri weigh 144lbs or under.

Perfect world... then yes you're right... 30 years ago you're almost right, 40 years even closer to right... today is political.

I mean Chris wanted it at 147, yet his biggest fight and win just happened against Provo at 140. Pac just beat his arch foe/nemesis (Jmm) conqueror (Bradley) at 147. At 147 Pacs win means Algeiri wasn't ready for the weight.. At 140 Algeiris win means Pac drained himself... Now I don't believe that ****, but like you say that's what the non thinkers will hear and believe...

This may not be a great match up, but it's at the right weight.

I am firmly against that, especially with the lineal title.

I have been a longtime Cotto fan but he's a **** for doing that.

Unfortunately he is pac's opponent and he can either weigh in at 140 where he usually weighs or "drain" himself making 144

If the fight was a non title affair would you be fine with that?

I'll have to agree. If you fight for a title in a divison you should weight acordingly. Then what's the purpose of having weight divisons if you don't even need to be in the same weightclass to become a world champion?

Lol.. retracting statement, know nothing, jock strap sniffing, sac of shydt... Pac, Floyd, Jmm, Bradley are the best at welterweight. The fact that he just beat one of them proves his worth at the weight...

It would be less upsetting. Catch-weights are never really okay.

    In title bouts, a travesty.

Danny is at 140. They are just gradually working their way down to jr Welterweight and also testing how PAC feels coming down in weight. Algeri is a jr welterweight anyways.....it's not like it will be a detriment to Chris or his ability to perform as he's used to coming into fights lighter. It would have been worse to make him jump all the way up to welterweight where he hasn't tested the waters. PAC did him a favor. He most likely won't feel that way afterwards but it's the truth.

I have not problems with catch weight fights. It has helped make fights between fighters who campaign at different weight classes and levels the playing field. As long as the two camps come to a mutual agreement I see nothing wrong with them.
