    You mean "might" have.

It's not certain Tucker would go the distance with Liston. He is a much different fighter to Lewis and Tyson. Tyson was never much chop on the inside and Liston would put substancially more heat on in there.

The reason it because you are saying it like it's a certainty and it isn't. What skills did Holyfield possess to allow him to beat a Tyson twice? And could someone with that skillset have beaten Tyson in his prime?

Since nothing is certain by would I mean high probability. I mean, look at the odds of winning the powerball and yet someone wins roughly once a month. So maybe Williams wings a big left hook that catches Tyson right on the tip of the chin and renders him unconscious in a manner reminiscent of Foster/Quarry .

Maybe Liston poleaxes Tucker like he did the fighter from Germany, his name escapes me now.

The point is, ANYTHING is possible. Not anything is probable. I prefer to go by probability.

People say with certainty all the time around here that Ali would have beaten Bowe, Holyfield, Lewis, Tyson, Louis, Marciano etc. You name him and it has been said with certainty that Ali would beat them. But no one ever says "Ali fanboy".

Because Ali is way more proven.

I think that anyone who thinks boxer A will always beat every other fighters is in my mind a fan boy.

Yes, Ali does have the most proven record, but that doesn't mean he would beat say a prime Lewis or a prime Tyson just that he would have a high probability of doing so. Perhaps he would have a 55-65% chance but that's about the best you can do. Not many expected Canelo to draw with GGG tonight but poor decision, or not, it happened.

Yeah Tysons beat better opponents than Liston, Frazier and Foreman. There's 3 names that many have in their top 10 ever. They have nothing on Spinks, Berbick and Tucker.

There we go name dropping again. Beating those 3 doesnt automatically translate into beating a Lewis, a Tyson, a Bowe, an AJ, not even a Marciano. Liston arguably wasnt at his best, Fraizer was still pretty good but when Fraizer was peak he proved to be too much and Foreman hit hard but was far from being the most skilled.

As you say, Tyson's speed is the wild card here.

I am going to take the risk of betting against it, because of Liston's reach advantage, and the fact that he showed himself to be effective at nullifying a speed advantage.

You said Tyson was more proven than Ali and don't expect names to be dropped? LOL

Liston was good, but too slow to beat a prime Tyson. Just how would he hit him? Mike Tyson is a nuclear Floyd Patterson.
