Mike Tyson depended a lot on scaring his opponent and intimidation,,,, Mike was actually playing a thug in his life and in the ring, starring into the eyes of Charles Sonny Liston in the center of the ring ,,a for real life monster and thug, I see Tyson realizing he ain't the bad guy here. Sonny punishes then stops Tyson around the 8th.

He was like a faster Liston except with an inferior inside game AND outside game, inferior stamina, 13 inches less in reach, less well rounded, lacked Liston's boxing skills and adaptability, and ring IQ. Oh and Liston hit harder as well. Both were very durable but I'd probably give Liston the edge there.

Liston valiantly fought the majority of a 10 round bout with a broken jaw, to lose a very close split decision. He also knocked Nino Valdez, a very hard puncher, out after he shut his eye. Cleveland Williams broke his nose and hit him with shots that would've knocked out ordinary men, yet Liston came back to KO him. But yeah he quit that one time, where he was at least in his mid 30s probably older, under highly dubious circumstances with a known shoulder injury as attested to by 8 different doctors so he didn't have any heart.
