Man thats what I hated about the Golden Gloves I train hard and theres no one for me to fight. I usally fight at 112, but theres no one to fight...well there is ,but it's extreamly hard to get a fight I feel that if there was a 115 for 17+ then it'd would be much easier for other kids make the weight because it is such a big jump from 112 to 119. Damn it sucks I just had to take a break

Well, once you get to National level there's plenty of 112 pounders out there. The best boxer on the US Olympic Team is a 112 pounder.

Yea, but until then I gotta find someone to fight , so that I can turn open even though I can do that now , but I want some more experience

Well, for you, in a match there can be a weight difference of 8 pounds either way for a non-tournament bout. So if you have to gain a few pounds, lose a few, do whatever to get the experience.

See my previous post. Coaches should really learn the rules so you don't have to kill yourself like you did.

So you fight at your walk around weight?
I usually walk around 115 and never really have problem making weight, I always ended up weighting in at 110 by fight time. I have a thin frame and broad shoulders and 5'5 I'm thinking about going up at a stable 119 so I can get used to the weight. My last fight I had to weight in the day before the fight which I went in at 114 thats why I was only able to gain 3 pound before my fight....I just need to get used to that weight.

Yesterday I went to the gym and my coach asked me to step on the scale because he said I looked skinnier and I just laughed and told I was still around 114-115 and when I stepped on the scale I was at 108 O_O. My coach thought I was on drugs and just gave me a weird look after I told him that wasn't it he told me I could make probably 106 at RingSide Tournament.

Now the thing is I haven't really trained for a couple of months and I was wundering if stress have anything to do with losing weight because Lately I've been getting alot of homework
