Punch resistance depends from multiple variables, including angles etc and movement in this moment.
Even the same supposedly more lanky but really agile Ali looked the same when he was in 1960 th and 1966 th like he isn't older any single year. Unlike his versions from 70 ies.

Guys, if you had boxed you know that there are a lot of different things unlike ppl usually see this process called fighting.

 

I looked it up just to make sure. I'm sure you used "Castizo" loosely. Not to put too fine a point on this, but I doubt Ruiz is 1/4 Amerindian descent, maybe 10% (unless he's stated otherwise).
When I was younger and out in the sun much more, I looked more Mexican Castizo than Ruiz has ever looked in his life LOL

The OP writes well reasoned posts, you wrote a hissy fit post. If OPs posts are too long for you or you don't like them, then don't read them.
Btw there's plenty of peeps on here that are "spamming" with endless hypothetical match ups. Some are good but others are of the Bob Fitzsimmons vs. Lennix Lewis variety. SMH

 

Now this I do have an issue with. Wlad is one of the top 10 hardest punchers in HW boxing history and he landed that right hand flush, on a gassed AJ that had took a vicious left hook moments earlier. That punch sent spray flying and for a moment, separated AJ's senses from his body as he did a bit of a chicken dance before going down. Many would have been comatosed or just stayed down.

I agree with you that Fury is the favourite as he has a far more natural, relaxed and rhythmic style but, if Fury comes in to the fight a little below par or a little rusty, then AJ can and will take full advantage.

When Joshua is front running and sees an opening, he can be a brutally effective finisher and what's to say that Fury doesn't end up on the end of a 'British' referee stoppage after being on the end of an AJ combo along the ropes.

There's a lot of, frankly irrational hate and bias throughout this thread whereas I see a competitive fight between a technically gifted and supreme athlete and a pure, natural fighter. What's not to like about this match up? Both bring a huge amount to the table; all the marbles and a great story.

I for one will be cheering on both and at the end of it all, the UK will have the Undisputed, Unified, Ring Magazine and Lineal HW Champion of the World.

 

I personally think a lot of people are gonna be surprised by what happens when they eventually fight.

Not sure calling Beyoncé Wilder the best US heavyweight in the last 20 years says a lot about US heavyweight boxing in the last 20 years. Also Fury is not sleeker than Ali not at all.
