    You say that but I talked to Joe for quite a while a few years back in Dallas Tx. I asked him about the hatred & was it real. He said "Well he said some terrible things about me as you know. " " The part that hurt most was when my daughter cried saying the kids at school said her Daddy was a gorilla" " Yes I wanted nothing more than to permanently shut his loud mouth" Then he said " He's since apologized to me & said it was all in attempts to hype the fights" Then he thought for a minute & said " Ali & I could never really be friends again but there is no man I respect more as a boxer as a man. I hit him as hard as I could as often as I could and he still kept coming I don't know what was holding him up."
    Then he said " We have immense mutual respect for each other and always will have" Joe was hell of a fighter & hell of a nice guy to talk to
