Why all the HATE for Jones-Calzaghe Fight?

    I have no idea. Maybe because people wanted to see Pavlik KO Calzaghe? Jones-Calzaghe is a modern-day Tyson-Lewis or Ali-Holmes (so-called shot fighter -vs- current division king). I'd like to see it whatever the outcome. :good

    Calzaghe has too because his style is based around his work rate....Roy has 1 punch KO power and if FASTER than every opponent he has faced......why waste energy if you dont have too?

    Calzaghe's work rate isn't that bad and is MUCH better then Jones. You really need to watch the last few Jones fights. Tryng to land one punch here and there will not win you a fight when your opponent is throwing and landing much more.

    goes to show how much you know...he didnt KO hanshaw..he knocked him down then allowed him to recoup.....please go to YOU TUBE and watch the fight!!!!!!

    the problem is ..Calzaghe doesnt always land:lol: and his defense is weak...The difference in this fight will be POWER & Handspeed

    Jones vs Calzaghe is a useless fight that nobody wanted until after it was signed.

    Now that it's signed, all of a sudden a few Calzaghe fans have come out of the woodwork claiming it's a great fight, yet most of them realize it is just another payday for JC with little historical relevance.

    This fight has about as much relevance as Jones vs McCallum did last decade.

    Dude....you're reposnding to posts and NOT even addressing what you qoute. No where did Realspitts mention Abraham, so HOW could he have said that? :huh

    he was saying that RJJ is shot because Dirrell beat Hanshaw faster & even KO'ed Hanshaw whereas RJJ didnt:patsch ...insinuating that since Roy couldnt beat hanshaw a C class fighter & Dirrell a C class fighter did...his logic was all ****ed up

    No, it looked more like he was commenting on Jones' 1 punch power you said he still has. And I agree, Jones is not KOing anyone with one punch. You added your own meaning to what he said.

    SHOT?...how is he shot?..please elaborate....its funny when people throw that word around..is he shot because he is 39? or maybe its cause he got KO'ed?...please tell me...

    I have seen ALl of Roys fights...including his last 3 fights and in no way did he appear to be shot?...is he the RJJ from 10 years ago?..hell now..but name me a fighter that is the same 10 years after his prime?....

    I think RJJ has the power to make joe switch his entire game plan up which is lunging in and throwing a bunch a puches that arent even powerful....

    tell me this...who is the STRONGER fighter?..who is the bigger fighter?..who is the more skilled fighter? who is the more versatile fighter? who has the faster hand speed?
