Amir Khan is 24. and was in his early 20's when he was fighting those fights. I really don't know what you're talking about. Of course fighters take easy fighters and build themselves up, how else is he supposed to move on to better things? Really! Why do people like you just think that fighters can get title shots straight away. Khans last few fights have been against good competition, Paulie may not be able to hit hard but he sure as hell can box and is a fantastic boxer that become a world champion. And Amir Khan outboxed him from the centre of the ring and beat him up. McCloskey was an undefeated EU champion that was only a warm up fight. And a lot of fights through-out history have been close, not everybody should get a rematch just because they were in a close fight, just because you weren't happy with the result! And obviously Maidana is just a beast... And if you want to talk about Khan nearly getting stopped, what about Khan dropped Maidana in the first round and Maidana being saved by the bell? Interesting how haters forget that...

Back to topic, the majority of the people who dislike do so because his attitude/arrogance.... generally anyone in England that is arrogant or extremely confindent are disliked.... e.g Simon Cowell..... he's white so is that just black British people???? I don't get where some people get off with there lack of knowledge starting threads like this.... it's pathetic. If he is hated by anyone for his race it's by racist people. not "British people" there is a distinct difference.

BNP and the Republican party are nowhere near in the same league as each other. Only a couple of years ago the BNP wanted to ship off all ******s and sterilise mixed race people who wanted to stay. Not sure what their official line is today, what they say and what they really believe are two different things, but it's a ridiculous comparison. The KKK would be a better starting point.

And the BNP get support from like 1% of the population anyway, most of the public think of them as a load of imbred idiots.

As long as he keeps working hard as a PORFESSIONAL BOXER.. I have no problem with Khan.. He is talented.. fight guys on the likes of Judah, Bradley, Guerrero, and Maidana.. don't get BIG HEADED and think you're greater than the sport and you will make it far.. but yeah, as long as he works hard like boxers are suppose to, I don't see why I shouldn't respect him.

Because 98% of young boxing fans are idiots who don't know that they just "DON'T KNOW" or aren't mature enough to remove themselves emotionallty from the hometown hero. Phailey and HEADGIVER are perfect examples of that. And half the Floyd fans who post here.

Im half Turkish half Dutch, my neighbourhood is mixed, I think it 60% people from foreign descent 40% Dutch. Most people are cool though, there are sometimes little conflicts but in general people are not that racist, its more that they get annoyed by criminal activities from immigrant youth and then complain on the internet but not in real life.
The police is usually patrolling and if they can they will fine you for ****, but its usually for driving too hard or smoking weed/drinking alcohol outside.
There have been a few riots though between youth and the police in recent years.
But the only thing where people clearly discriminate is with job applications, for Example I have way more trouble getting a job/internship because of my name than my friends with Dutch names even if we have similair resumes.

I understand your point but you must see that Khan has moved past it now and Prescott hasn't done anything to deserve a rematch, since getting that "fluke" win, Prescott has done pretty much nothing. I am a huge Khan fan and I would love to see a rematch just to silence the haters but, at the same time, I don't see why Prescott should be given a title shot and a nice big pay day for doing **** all.
