I can't understand all the hate for Khan, win or draw he's always in exciting fights. Isn't that what people want to see, and who exactly is he supposed to have ducked?

The consensus seems to be that we who don't like his personality are all racists.

    So...that.

    IN SUMMARY :

Arguably he's a bit of a knob, but no more so than the vast majority of British boxers - or boxing fans for that matter.

Sadly, you're still not allowed to be a bit of a knob if you're a Pak!stani without becoming a largely despised hate figure.

A Pak!stani who's actually good at fighting and has a lot more money than you better be f***king humble or he's just going to get hated.
    This is Britain, after all.

Nothing to do with being ****stani. I wish him and his fanboys would stop using this to play the victim.

The ironic thing is ****stani's are the most racist group of people, they just hide it very well.

It's all about his arrogance and unduly sense of entitlement. He claims to be the best british boxer, has disrespected legends like Froch, Roach, Hatton and thinks he is above the likes of Brook.

The guy ducks power punchers, and then tries to skip ahead of the queue to fight the best in the game, when all his career he has cherry picked his opponents.

^ The ironic thing is that you ruined the credibility of the first statement but following it up with an irrelevant generalisation about Pak!stanis.

    :rofl

    Sounds like most British boxers.

It worked for David Haye, who was even more obnoxious. :good

Yes it worked for Haye but the majority of the public dislike him.

But thankfully his fanboys don't pull out the race card when people cricitise him for being a arrogant fraud.

And ****stani's are racist. If you are not asian and date one of their own, then the daughter/son is usually slaughtered outback for bringing dishonour to the family

There's a bunch of different reasons, most of them not very good. I personally think the bottom line is there are a lot of sad idiots out there who will hate on people who they don't know for trivial reasons because deep down they're jealous, racist, unhappy with themselves and there lives, generally not nice people etc.

I think if he was white he would be an absolute hero here, not far off Hattons stature

I've seen Froch get just as much so called "hate" on here as Khan.
    Is that racism too?
Khan brings a lot of people who are also of ****stani origin into watching the sport and that's a good thing.
What's not such a good thing is that many are not actually boxing fans, they make all these threads saying how easily Khan would beat X and when more knowledgeable boxing fans express a contrary opinion they immediately play either the race or religion card.
This ****es people off and they get a little vitriolic after a while.

    I'm white and an atheist.
I'll admit I don't like Khan. He just rubs me the wrong way (fnarr fnarr).
I also don't like the way he got the silver spoon treatment when he turned pro because the media cream themselves over anything to do with the olympics.
He got fast tracked and still bit the hand that fed him in demanding ppv money for domestic fights.

ftr I don't like Ricky Hatton either and don't get me started on George Groves or David Haye.

    Assuming racism is pathetic.

I don't like Khan, and it has NOTHING to do with his race.

I don't like him because he's arrogant, and not nearly as good as he or his fans think he is.
