I've seen some of his fights and he looked impressive, but nothing as far as a real top notch fighter on his record before he went to prison. He was dropped by Mario Maldano. Am I just missing the greatness of the likes of Pat Halllacy, Jerry Cheatham, Curtis Ramsey, Steve Gregory, and Robbie Epps ?

He was good prospect, nothing more. Coulda been good but we'll never know. In the end he was just a real nasty ****er who luckily will most likely spend the rest of his life in the slammer.:smoke:smoke:smoke:smoke

His **** hook was pretty weak, actually. Once he went to prison, he found out what a world class **** hook really was.

    showed nothing exceptional

cos he beat pipino cuevas up in a spar at aged 14 doesnt mean he was going to be a ATG

LOADS of champs have been beaten up in sparring by lesser inexperienced guys they all have off days. every sparring partner used to get the best muhamma ali

Any highly-touted athlete that gets his career cut short during or before their peak generally gets overrated. The fact that he was a decorated amateur and had an exciting, aggressive style helped, too.
