Why does anyone pay these Chinchecker clowns any attention? They are entitled to their opinion and can hate all they want. I think we've all heard them the first 1000 times they got on their RJJ kick. I used to think it was like a bitter ex-girlfriend sort of thing with these clowns but now I honestly think they all suffer from erectile dysfunction and talking RJJ or Calsalppy for some of them provides a Viagra effect. I used to get annoyed until I realized that they just want to be able to jerk off in peace and need a little assistance from bashing RJJ. Kind of pathetic, but I don't judge. I say just sit back and watch what lengths they will go to posting link after link of the same repetitive mumbo jumbo. Usually it's just one of them, but when they all come out in droves we know a circle jerk is taking place.
The first time he was tested, he caught cheating and using anabolic steroids. After he was caught, when we can establish he was a clean fighter, the opposition he fought was ridiculously poor, Ruiz was an awful HW Champ, Roy would never have gone near a top HW. Then he stepped it up and fought the likes of Tarver, and Glen Johnson. Can someone link me any Team Elite or Chinchecker threads that are criticising and 'hating' on Hagler, Leonard, Robinson, Hearns?
one of the chincheckers is always calling Hearns a glass jawed fraud. it's not hard to find. headbagger or something like that. it's just a guise. certainly none of them are fans of Hopkins or Toney, two fighters with great chins. it's a guise that started out as a way to vent against RJJ and now it encompasses every single black WW~LHW ever.
They cannot be found. All of the Chincheckers are fans of the above fighters because, with the exception of Hearns, all were Certified Iron Chinned Warriors™. And, the Chincheckers give credit to Hearns despite his Chin issues because he could fight and would fight anyone, anywhere. The exact opposite of a Glass Jawed Fraud like Jones.
Wait, there is more. I don't think MetalMandible and KO Artist have finished themselves off yet......
Hey... yall have your opinions about Jones... I have mine.... at least you guys aren't hardcore trolls....
This is an intelligent response. I have never trolled this forum and am merely here to share my opinion on Boxing. I do not care if anyone else likes it, because it is my opinion and no amount of whining about my "trolling" is going to make me say otherwise.
Big Fights of the 90s?.. Nigel Benn was tied down to Don King, Who wanted to promote Jones, Why should Jones tie in with a fella whos notorious for ripping off his fighters. Dariusz Michalczewski wouldn't leave Germany, America is the home of boxing and were fighters make there names. Chris Eubank had no interest. Steve Collins after a payday, Mcclellen well we all know what happened to him and Calzaghe..... WHO? Politics and circumstances robbed the 90s of the big fights not Roy Jones He failed ONE drug test in his career and he had 63 pro fights Now tell me your "Facts" and "Logic" behind how these big fights never happened.
I'm British and you can't beat a good cup of tea two sugars haha Leave off the british bashing, We not all like the ones who come on here and seem to have no common sense about boxing and are just interested in talking crap.
Roy's camp claims that King had designs on him, that automatically makes that excuse questionable because of the laundry list of other excuses Glass Jaw Jones has made throughout his career. Frank W said that Roy's camp NEVER approached them with any offer to fight. DM was a superstar in Germany. Glass Jaw Jones was never a draw or a PPV attraction in America. Ever. Also, DM was the lineal Champion, i.e. the true heir to the throne. World Champions travel to make the fights if need be. Glass Jaw Jones never did this. Eubank says otherwise. This matter is simply hearsay on both sides but given Reluctant Roy's refusal to take on real challenges, I would readily believe Eubank over him. Lastly, what about Michael Nunn? You have not mentioned him once and that was one of the most disgraceful duck jobs of all-time. Roy wanted nothing to do with a good Southpaw like that and therefore demanded an 80/20 split. That's the sort of action you expect from a guy looking to make the big fights happen, right?:roflatsch
Because his supporters think he is some kind of boxing god but he's really an over hyped roid taking HBO marketed fraud I am willing to bet 99% of RJJ fans are also tyson fanboys and never even saw a prime RJJ fight live, you youtube kids just watch his highlights of him blasting out bums and think he is legit.
Why didnt Roy give Hopkins 50-50 back in 2002? Instead of 60-40? Hopkins was considered #1 P4P at that time and had just beat Trinidad. This was the fight the fans and boxing public wanted, and Roy priced himself out to avoid a tough challenge, against a fighter that could beat him in Bernard. When the DM fight should have happened, Jones was not a big draw in America. DM was a massive draw in Germany, HBO wanted this fight badly, so did the boxing fans, DM was the lineal champion and no.1 in the division, Roy priced himself out and refused to travel. He even instructed those at HBO not to mention the DM fight when interviewing him, hence the nickname 'Reluctant Roy'. From Eubank's autobiography Why did he duck Mcclellan, that's obvious, Mcclellan was brutal and would have stopped Roy! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jVrFZDxZS0[/ame] 6:45 in. "For 2 years Calzaghe has chased pound for pound number one Roy Jones, but to no avail". Joe is spot on here, 'Roy promotes himself, he gets bundles of money for whoever he fights, so why would he take on opponents who will give him tough fights?' Hence why Roy churned out the classic ' I gotta fight my mandatory' whenever questioned on his awful level of competition.
I don't have the time to address all of your points, but this one always gets me. Is being the supposed best in the sport actually just leverage as an excuse to get out of risky fights? It hasn't always been like that. While these aren't necessarily hugely risky fights, Ali fought abroad in the opposing fighters home on many occasions e.g. Ali fought Canadian Chuvalo in Canada twice Ali fought English London in England Ali fought English Cooper in England Ali fought German Mildenberger in Germany He also fought German Blin in Switzerland and English Dunn in Germany and probably a few cases of fighting Americans in their home states e.g. Williams in Texas. Not to mention the numerous times he fought abroad where things would be more out of his control. It just so happens that Ali's biggest threats at the time were also American, I would bet that if they were from somewhere else then Ali would have travelled like a true champion.
