Exactly. Legitimate World Champions will travel to make the fights happen if need be. DM was a far bigger star in Germany than Roid was in the US, he was the lineal LHW Champion, and Roid had nothing more than his imaginary "P4P Champion" status as a negotiating point and he still ducked the fight. Jones is a Glass Jawed Fraud and a disgrace to Boxing.
Excuses excuses. If he was so much better than these guys, he would have blown them out and it would have been impossible to rob him. Jones and his fanboys make the most pathetic excuses of all-time.
You are admitting that Roy would have to KO them in order not to get robbed....Exactly why he didn't go.
No, I am not saying that at all. DM, the guy most Jones nuthuggers claim he could not have won a fair decision over in Germany, actually got robbed in Germany himself against Gonzalez. What I am saying is that if Roy was half the unbeatable demigod that his fanboys claim, he wouldn't have had to worry about it, at all. He would have simply walked in and obliterated these so-called bums with the wind of his punches.
Jones was difficult to deal with, which is why a lot of fights never happened. Its a shame really because there were a lot of good fights to be made.
RJJ is a living legend. Regardless of anything he may have done/still doing, he is right up there with my favourite most exiting fighter I have watched in my time watching the sport, bollocks he is number one on that list, **** am I talking about!
He didn't get robbed against Gonzalez...He lost...and the only German judge had him ahead....exactly why Roy wouldn't go there.
32 of your 72 posts are directly quoting me. You are clearly a Homosexual stalker. He was more than difficult to deal with. As I have stated numerous times in this thread and others, he was an outright ducker who never made the fights that the fans and networks wanted by pricing himself out, refusing to travel, and just outright ducking and ignoring serious challenges. His career was a dog-and-pony show characterized by more skillful matchmaking and manuevering through the divisions than by any actual fighting he displayed. He was and is a Glass Jawed Fraud.
Simple, because his fights were on PPV but the quality of the fights are even lower than ordinary HBO BAD. It's not his fault that he's so much better than his contemporaries. But the way he toyed with his opponents rather than pouring it on and finishing them turned off the fans. Compared to Floyd who really doesn't have a punch. Roy can stop anyone he wants if he puts his heart to it. And people was looking for that, and end up disappointed.
The fighters I think he wanted nothing to do with were: McClellan, Liles and maybe Nunn I don't think he feared Collins, Benn or Eubank I dont think he always had a glass jaw. I think it was alright during his peak but declined after the Johnson and Tarver ko's
