I've noticed since i've been on this site, that Miranda has quite a few followers. Now i've watched his major fights he's been in, and he's lost them all. yes he broke abrahams jaw, bit he still got beat!! and yes he is relativelty exciting but the fights hes exciting in he loses! He's just a plain old C level fighter to me. Froch should target him to build his name up further in the states as he's a hero and loved for some reason!?
Miranda? Followers? The only follower he has in Pantera2000. Everyone else realises he's an awful boxer with admittedly good power. That's it.
i thought there were a good few fans of his on here. i can remember seeing some looney thread a while back stating mikkel kessler was afraid of him and they posted a link to an article that proved FA!!
Good power, trash talker, exciting to watch! the reasons he got this hype The reason he got beat, was the lack of all other things a good fighter have!
That stems from Mikkel Kessler, not really Miranda. You see, Kessler does get over-rated a bit on this forum - I mean I believe him to be the best 168 and I believe he has the potential to beat anybody in the division - beat then you get the people who take it to the extreme and say he could beat Hopkins, Calzaghe if he came back etc. And therefore hate stems towards Kessler from some certain people because they get annoyed with his fans, and then when it turned out that Kessler didn't want the Miranda fight because he had the opportunity to pick up his WBA belt again, people took the opportunity to say Kessler is ducking Miranda. Despite the fact Miranda is a nobody who Kessler would probably knock out in a round of his choosing.
I admire his courage to fight anyone and give it his all. yes he lacks boxing skill and falls short of that A level fighter but I will never totally count him out against anyone.
And despite the fact that, after Mundine vacated the belt, Kessler offered the title shot to Miranda who turned it down in favour of facing Abraham again :deal
