I have trained mma with at least 3 people that have or do fight in ufc or strikeforce and i know the difference between being skilled in a sport and being a natural fighter you obviously don't. You don;t seem to even understand your own posts, a natural fighter is someone who has a fighting instinct something they are born with, its not something that you can learn by training martial arts.

None of that matters. So he's a two time UFC champion? So what? Mir is NOT a natural fighter point blank point simple. If you want to see a natural fighter look no further than the man who own's that nickname Randy Couture.

he needs to be lighter and have better cardio. velasquez and jds will bulldoze him. carwin and brock already have. if he doesn't improve then that ishim out of the picture.

I don't understand why he thinks he's more effective at 260lbs. There's just no need for the excess weight. If he wants to add strongman routines to his training fine. But 260lbs is excessive.

Overeem? No way...............:nono That guy has more to do with juicing than any other fighter I can think of. No exactly "naturally gifted" per se.

He's still a good fighter by the way, don't get me wrong.

That's waaay too harsh on Frank Mir.:verysad

He has tons of knowledge & listening to his commentary during fights shows this. He's very well rounded, comfortable standing & striking, or on the mat with subs & gnp. He has the brains to go with good overall size. If I had to complain about his weakness it's cardio and possibly a touch of mental.

    That's being 100% fair I believe.

I think thats what they are trying to say though. As a fighter he maybe be technically gifted/natural. But he hasnt got that mental fighting edge i dont think, he understands fighting but he isnt a warrior (or at least has done nothing to me to suggest that he is). For all his faults Diaz is a genuine warrior you saw it in his eyes when Daley tagged him thats what i think Mir hasnt got for all his technical skill.

Ok I can agree with that... I don't think its his heart, I just don't know if he's ever properly learned what to do when hurt. He gets tagged and tries to fight back but looks clueless.

he is 6'3 which is big but not 260 pounds big. i would a 6'3 guy should be between 220 and 245. frank mir isn't built like carwin or lesnar who are roughly the same height but built in a TOTALLY different way.
