Well, not all of us...but many.

Often times, people over here in the states might read press/hype clippings about some guy who many consider the real deal across the pond. But the big problem is, that we have never seen them on Television. Unless you have satelite TV, we can't watch any fights from Europe, unless they are shown on HBO/SHOWTIME or see some YouTube footage.

Meanwhile the European fighters are staying active, and fighting guys we have never heard of. Eventually they'll start fighting NAME American fighters who may not be in their prime, but they are still good fighters.

Finally, when it comes to SHOWCASING these guys on U.S. television, the EUROFIGHTERS are probably nervous (wanting to impress), and often are matched against tough guys whose style doesn't mesh real good with their own (the networks want you to fight a certain level of gatekeepers, etc.). Then at the end of the day, even though the Eurofighter is still very good...when he doesn't give us a Mayweather-Corrales type of showing....

    ...HE SUCKS....

Not fair, and not the way I think, but it's true..:yep

The US Boxing Media is extremely prejudiced agaisnt Euro fighters, actually, it appears to be because of the color of a fighter's skin that is the problem. Sam Peter is not an American citizen, but Oleg Maskaev is an American citizen. Yet, look at the bias against the American citizen Maskaev. Also, Vladimir Klitschko gave huge amounts of money to Nigerian children, Peter gave nothing! Yet, the biased ones give Vlad zero credit. They appear to not see the fighter, only the color of their skin. Racism is wrong and that means Whites hating Blacks and Blacks hating Blacks, etc. the prejudice only hurts boxing and racial relations. The ruling elite loves to cause racial tensions. Whilte there is race vs. race, they are taking advantage of "all" Americans.

Bernard Hopkins was one of my favorite fighters for many years. Hagler also, Ali, also, etc. I did not bother to look at the color of their skin, I looked at their boxing ability. I believe that if a fighter actually wins a fight in the ring, he deserves the decision, TKO or knockout, not winning the fight because of the American boxing media.

Years ago, I noticed outright lies against Vitali and Vladimir Klitschko. How did I know? I actually bought the fights on tape and watched them, then whenever I saw the boxing reports, I could not believe my eyes and ears. Boxing has become a global sport, it's time we treat it as such.

Maybe its more of a nationalistic thing than a racist/skin color thing!

This is the reason imo. Its not even that the Euro fighters are overhyped or anything like that. The problem is that when they step-up in competition for the big payday the elite fighter they are going against isn't just "a step up in competition", he is more than likely three or four steps up and they just can't handle it. Its not gradual at all a lot of the time, its like throwing a great prospect in with a title holder

The US media isn't prejudiced against Euroboxers. The fact is that the U.S. media pretty much ignores all boxing. Boxing only writers are non-existent at this point.

So, the average American doesn't hear jack about boxing unless it involves De La Hoya.

It really takes an extreme effort to keep up with Euroboxing if you are an American.

I trade fights with Europeans, so, I watch as much as I can, but, I'm an extreme exception.

At least with youtube it is becoming easier to watch world fights, so, it is getting better.
