Not all world title wins are created equal. Let's review Khan's. WBA light welterweight: faced and beat Kotelnik. Okay, fair enough - only problem is this shouldn't have been a title fight, as Kotelnik had gotten a gift over Maidana in his previous defense. Maidana vs. Ortiz for the WBA interim belt should've continued the real lineage. Khan later beat Maidana h2h, though, so fine - let's call this a legitimate world title reign. IBF light welterweight: unified with a past-it Judah on a nut shot. Eh. Fine. Let's call this legit - but Amir promptly lost both titles a few months later. Reinstated when Peterson was stripped...and was promptly KTFO by DSG. So yeah, sure, Khan is there in the annals of belt holders, but there are loads of fighters who beat & defended against better opposition in longer and more numerous reigns. By world champ standards he's bog standard, dime-a-dozen.
Khan's run was OK, as you say, nothing more than that. He's certainly been a lot of fun to watch. I only mentioned the world title as a response to Mark's somewhat arbitrary measure of success in regards to not winning a rematch.
Never been such a delusional fighter in the world right now. God knows why he thinks he has a solid chin when its proved he hasn't. Some reason he still thinks he beat floyd and manny in their prime!!!
It's his career. That's where he makes money and earns a living from. Do you expect him to come out and say "Hey, I can't take a punch, I am questionable stamina and I am terrible!"?.
