Why are Ali and Louis faces on the WBC belt?

    Louis never had a WBC belt and Ali defended the WBA belt more times than the WBC one. Does anybody know the reasom why they are on there?

    I assume cause their faces are iconic to heavyweight boxing in general, and the WBC is widely seen as THE belt to have over all the others.

    Just my guess.

    There is no tangible connection between the WBC and Louis, but he is Sulaiman's favorite heavyweight on a personal level. Sulaiman attended Marciano vs. Louis in his youth and was devastated, and hated Rocky.

    They are legends but it looks odd when you see the flyweight champion with Joe Louis on his belt.

    I prefer the older WBC belts.
