Usually it's just American heavyweights that get run down as fatasses.. which they are but what about Povetkin, Solis, Peter, Gomez, etc.. why does it seem like only the Klits can consistently come to fight in shape? And the Klitschkos normally come in real good shape too, why's it so hard for all the other to come in atleast decent shape?

Americans are lazy, that's a given.. what about the rest of the world?

    Yea its ridiculous.

Thank god Haye is making a bit of noise now, hopefully Boytsov could live up to some hype too.

I couldnt believe the announce team acknowledged that Rahman was in any kind of shape. He looked like someone **** a piece of whale blubber.

Some guys like Povetkin look doughy but are in good fighting shape. He looks soft but he fights hard for 12 rounds and doesn't gas. That said, his talent is limited and he would/will get demolished by WALD if they do fight

The problem is that a lot of current heavyweights should really be cruiserweights but the paydays down there aren't the same, plus they are too lazy to train. Larry Holmes was kind of the same way, he never looked like he was in amazing shape but generally was

Aside from WALD, VITLAI and HAEY, none of them care enough to show up in peak form

It is a bit ironic that the two best-conditioned American heavyweights out there are Evander Holyfield and Michael Grant...I mean c'mon, have some pride fellas...

Holmes looked in better shape than 95% of todays heavyweights. It looked like Wladimir was fighting a big snail in the ring tonight.

Like I said.. it's not even just an American thing, look at Solis.. the guy usually looks like a slug come fight night.

Povetkin comes to fights in tremendous condition, don't be fooled by the everyman physique

Maybe I went too far mentioning Povetkin.

Povetkin is in Shape, ie condition...it is he is not ripped and don't need to be. Lots of guys who are ripped are not in Shape...they gas.

Solis suffers from what I like to call CHS - Cuban Heavyweight Syndrome. With no weight limit in place to regulate them, they'll go James Toney the first chance they get. :D

Yeah that is what I mean. He doesn't look in shape, but he is. Larry Holmes was the same way in that he looked doughy and wasn't ripped but he was in great fighting shape. Another good recent example would be James Toney in his fights against Holyfield and Jirov, he didn't look in shape but showed great endurance and conditioning in those actual fights
