Why are Arum & Pac insisting that they can only fight at the END of May?

Mexican holiday = more fanbase support or ppv buys for the event.
Best date in May in a business point of view.

Yes Mayweather already reserved May 5th and Pacquiao said that he can fight on May 5th before changing his tune so why change the date?

Contractual obligation Floyd has with MGM. Although, no one knows the particulars of the contract, but chances are there is a pretty large fee assessed to breaking it. He could co-promote another even there and try and recoup some of the money, but that's a lot to go through.

First off we know Mexicans are one of the only countries that still love boxing enough to go out and buy fights. So it will be good for business if May 5th.

Secondly Mayweather is going to the pen on June 1st. The earlier in May the better, if an injury occurs and the fight is set for 25th May us fans will either be robbed of the fight altogether or robbed of a competitive fight as one of the parties will not be able to perform at his best.

But I have a question for you, WHY NOT MAY 5TH?

Are u kidding? More money? Fighting in mgm grand can bring both mayweather vs pacquiao huge moneys. Remember 2 years ago when that fight look like it was going to happen? Nobody had a problem of the fight taken place in the mgm grand but now 2 years later mgm grand is a small venue? Alot of biggest fights happen in the small venue before.

Lol...nice try, but no Breh, this isn't a "both sides" deal...this is solely on Arum/Manny/Team Manny period.
